House Damaged in Heavy Weapon Attack by Terrorist-Supporting Armed Insurgents and So-called PDF Terrorists

In respective States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 2 June, 2024 at 3:10 PM, a group of KNU members who support terrorism, along with so-called PDF terrorists, fired heavy weapons into Chae Taw Yar Village in Shwegyin Township of Bago Region. Two heavy weapon shells exploded within the village, damaging a house. There were no reported injuries.
Security personnel are conducting further investigations to take punitive action against the perpetrators of terrorists who conducted the heavy weapons attack into the village, and also taking security measures to restore stability and peace in the area, it is reported.
