In certain townships, administrative officials and innocent civilians were shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 February at 11:15 AM, a report stated that a male had been killed and another wounded as a result of gunfire along the Village commutable road near Wettal Turn (a local name) in Kawa Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that three residents of Shwepaukpin Village U Maung Maung Ei (45 years old), Ko Thu (30 years old) and Ko Zaw (40 years old) were returning on a two-wheel hand-pulled tractor trailer from Kanpaw Village to Shwepaukpin Village. When two so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation), who were riding a motorcycle behind them, and opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, U Maung Maung Ei succumbed to fatal gunshot wounds to his left ear and arm while Ko Thu sustained gunshot wounds to his right chest and arm. He was transported to Bago Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 1:15 PM, a report stated that three males were dead by gunfire in Shwekyarin (1) Ward in Taungdwingyi Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Village Administrator U Nyunt Win (45 years old), two 10-households elders; U Aung Tun (46 years old) and U Myint Zaw (46 years old) who all live in Pyinchaung Village, were en route from Pyinchaung Village to Taungdwingyi Town. When they arrived in front of the “Ni Lar” restaurant located the Rakhinephayargyi compound, these officials encountered two so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation). The terrorists proceeded to shot the victims, resulting in their untimely deaths from gunshot wounds, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 3:25 PM, a 100-household elder U San Win Naing (45 years old), who lived in Tayethamaing Village of Waw Township, Bago Region, was attending a traditional festival honoring a village deity at a local shrine when a so-called PDF terrorist (under investigation) opened fire on him. As a result, U San Win Naing was dead from gunshot wounds. Additionally, Daw Htay Htay Khine (48 years old), who also lives in this village, suffered injuries from gunshots and was rushed to Waw Township Public Hospital for urgent medical attention, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:35 PM, Village Administrator U Khin Maung Htay (aka) U Thar Htay, (50 years old), who lived in Kalashin Village of Natmauk Township, Magway Region, was at home with his family when a group of five so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation) arrived by motorcycles. They apprehended both U Khin Maung Htay (aka) U Thar Htay and his spouse, Daw Yu (53 years old). However, as soon as the terrorists reached the entrance of their residence, they opened fire on U Khin Maung Htay (aka) U Thar Htay. As a result, U Khin Maung Htay (aka) U Thar Htay was dead from a gunshot wound that entered his left cheek and exited via his occipital region, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
