In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 3 February at 10:15 AM, a report stated that approximately 12 so-called PDF terrorists arrived on six motorcycles Khyinthar Village of Ngazun Township, Mandalay Region. Later, they opened fire Daw Cho Cho Mar (46 years old), a Junior Teacher from the Basic Education Primary School (Khyinthar), who lived in this village, and U Kyaw Soe Moe (32 years old), a resident of Latpankaryar Village, who was doing masonry work at the house of U Khin Zaw. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Daw Cho Cho Mar had died from a bullet wound penetrating from her left temple to right temple, with another wound on her right arm, at her house. U Kyaw Soe Moe was also found dead from a bullet wound penetrating from his left cheek to right cheek, with two lacerations on his nose and left hand, at the house of U Khin Zaw. The deceased were transported to Myothar Circuit Hospital for a post-mortem examination and further analysis, it is reported.
Similarly, at 1:00 PM, a report stated that a man was found dead by gunfire from so-called PDF terrorists on the Taungdwingyi-Shweinpin Village road, approximately two miles west of Taungdwingyi Town, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U San Win (55 years old), who lived in Shweinpin Village, was dead from three bullet wounds: one to his forehead, one to his right temple, and one to his back. The incident was verified that on the same day at around 12:30 PM, U San Win and his elder sister, Daw Khin Htway, were returning home on a motorcycle from Taungdwingyi Town. Upon reaching the location at around 1:30 PM, so-called PDF terrorists forced the motorcycle to a stop and opened fire on U San Win. Additionally, four 9mm bullet shells were seized at the scene. The deceased was transported to Taungdwingyi Township Hospital for a post-mortem examination and further analysis, it is reported.
Similarly, at 8:30 PM, a report stated that a male was killed by gunfire from two terrorists (under investigation) in Thabyu Village of Kawa Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Ko Lwin (42 years old), who lived in Tamangyi Village was dead from five bullet wounds: one to his left temple, one to his neck, one to his right cheek, one to his left chest, and one to his left calf, in front of U Aye Win’s house in Thabyu Village. The incident was verified that, U Ko Lwin was conversing with U Zaw Naing Tun, a resident of Thabyu Village, in front of U Aye Win’s house when two terrorists (under investigation) arrived by a motorcycle and opened fire on U Ko Lwin before fleeing. The deceased was transported to the Thabyu Circuit Hospital for a post-mortem examination and further analysis, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killing and assassination of civil services and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
