In Chanmyatharzi Township, political extremists who oppose the opening of basic education schools, with the aim of preventing the education of future generations from being left behind, resort to conducting threats of violence

     The national government is opening basic education schools on 1 June to ensure the full utilization of the right to education in order to prevent the education of the future generations from being left behind. With the aims to create an uneducated society following the loss of children’s rights to education as well as to intimidate students, teachers and parents, the NUG and its affiliated political extremist terrorists are resorting to threats of violence by distributing threatening letters and opposing the reopening of schools with nefarious intentions, it is found that.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 7 July at 12:00 PM, according to the report indicated that threatening words were found on the brick wall in front of the No. (35) Basic Education High School located in 54th Road between 113th and 114th Streets of Myayinandar Ward in Chanmyatharzi Township of Mandalay Region, security personnel went to the school to inspect. According to the investigation, threatening words written with red spray paint were found on the brick wall. The security personnel cleared the threatening words, it is reported.
     Security personnel are doing required investigations to find and apprehend those political extremist terrorists involved in the above incident with the aims to oppose schools opening as well as to intimidate students, teachers and parents, and to take legal action against them.
