Two terrorists died in an explosion while carrying explosive devices to execute an act of terrorism in Halingtharyar (Eastern)Township, Yangon Region.
The incident occurred on 1 March at 7:35 PM in Hlaingtharyar (Eastern)Township, Yangon Region. Two terrorists died in an explosion while riding a battery-powered bicycle and carrying explosive devices. They intended to execute an act of terrorism and, the explosion occurred approximately 50 yards west of “(1) Htate” bus stop in No. (2) Ward of Hlaingtharyar (Eastern)Township. Additionally, two dry cell batteries and an explosive device, which was connected to a circuit by a wire and constructed with PVC pipe, were found near the incident site and subsequently cleared, it is reported.
Security personnel transported the bodies of the deceased, who were carrying an explosive device to execute acts of terrorism from the above incident, to Hlaingtharyar (Eastern)Township Public Hospital. This was done for further examination and to facilitate legal action, it is reported.
