In Kawkareik, Ye and Natogyi Townships, armed terrorists wantonly kill administrative officials and innocent civilians

     In some townships of States and Regions, armed terrorists, based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, are committing violent attacks and assassinations by using knives, guns, grenades, home-made mines and IEDs against administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts after accusing them of “Spy/ Informer/ Decoy (Dalan)” to make civilians who live peacefully, very frightened.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 August at 04:30 PM, according to the report that a male and a female were injured by gunfire at the Tawnaw car washing and petrol station located near Twanaw waterfall on the Myawady-Kawkariek Asia Road in Kawkariek Township, Kayin State, security personnels went to the scene to inspect. Upon inspection, it is found that Ko Yan Naing Soe, 35 years old (Father) U Thar Maung, along with his wife Ma Khin Thawdar Zin, 33 years old (Father) U Saw Naing, who both live in Insein Township, Yangon Region, were travelling in a white YGN 1L/XXXX 22-wheeled vehicle loaded with millet grain bags from Hinthada Town to Myawady Town. When they arrived at the Tawnaw car washing and petrol station, a terrorist group (under scrutiny) opened fire on them. As a result, Ko Yan Naing Soe and Ma Khin Thawdar Zin sustained gunshot injuries and were transported to the Kawkariek District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, on 9 August at 08:30 AM, according to the report that some civilians were injured and killled by terrorists’ gunfire at a teashop owned by U Chit Swe in Asin Village of Ye Township, Mon State, security personnels went to the scene to inspect. Upon inspection, it is found that U Yin Wai, 68 years old (Father) U Marlar, U Win Htike, 47 years old (Father) U Tin Aye, Ko Myo Tun, 27 years old, who all live in Asin Village, as well as U Aung Thein, 62 years old (Father) U Aung Than and U Lat, 49 years old (Father) U Win Myint, who both live in Zeephyuthaung Village, were present in the teashop, when two so-called PDF terrorists (under scrutiny) arrived on a motorcycle and entered the teashop. Later, the terrorists opened fire within the teashop before fleeing. As a result, U Yin Wai and U Aung Thein were dead from gunshot injuries, while U Win Htike, Ko Myo Tun and U Lat sustained gunshot injuries. They were transported to the Ye District Public Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, Ko Myo Tun was dead from his injuries while receiving medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 01:00 PM, according to the report that four males were found dead with injuries at the entrance of Salkalay (Nga Nge) Village of Natogyi Township, security personnels went to the scene to inspect. Upon inspection, it is found that four males dead bodies; approximately 40-year-old, 35-year-old, 60-year-old, and 45-year-old men (under scrutiny) were found dead with gunshot injuries at the incident. Their bodies were transported to the Natogyi Township Public Hospital for further examination, it is reported.
     Security Force Members are continuing necessary actions to identify and arrest those terrorists who committed wantonly killings and assassinations against administrative officials and innocent civilians who live peacefully in the abovementioned cases based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, it is reported.
