Terrorist organizations are carrying out acts of sabotage within the country, as well as launching heavy weapons and dropping bombs using drone attacks, targeting and destroying religious buildings and monasteries that are sacred to Buddhist people, while also abducting and brutally killing the Buddhist monks, it is found that heartbreakingly.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 August at 12:45 PM, a group of 20 so-called PDF terrorists opened fire improvised mortars towards Magyitone Village of Khin-U Township in Sagaing Region. One of the improvised mortar projectiles landed and exploded on the Buddhist chapel within the Oaktayaryone monastery in the Village. As a result of the explosion, a zinc roof, a ceiling, two ceramic tiles of the Buddhist chapel were destroyed. Additionally, the Buddhist monk Shin Pa Nyane Da, 14 years old and 5 years as monk (Father) U Myint Lin, who happened to be near the explosion, was killed from bomb shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 12:30 PM, the abbot of the Aungmingalar monastery in Mhawnikone Village of Madaya Township in Mandalay Region; U Sandi Mar (aka) U Khin Maung Htway, 42 years old and 14 years as a monk, was present in the monastery, when approximately 15 members of a terrorist group (under scrutiny), visibly armed, arrived at the monastery. Then, they brutally assaulted the abbot by striking him with a gun butt and proceeding to stab and slash him with knives, by accusing him of being “decoy/ dalan”. As a result, the abbot U Sandi Mar (aka) U Khin Maung Htway was dead from knife injuries, it is reported.
As a result of these acts of terrorism, 83 Buddhist monks and one nun in the state have passed away, and the security forces are diligently conducting search operations and implementing area lockdowns to apprehend and bring to justice the individuals responsible for killing a monk from the aforementioned incident, it is reported.
