In Madaya and Paukkhaung Township, innocent civilians were shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by an extremist ideology of 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 December at 09:30 AM, a report stated that a male was found dead on the roadside at the entrance of Alpha Cement Factory in Htanpinkone Village of Madaya Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that the body of an approximately 40-year-old male (under investigation) in a decomposed state, with an open wound on his head, covered by a red piece of cloth on his face, and his hands tied behind his back with a rope. The deceased was transported to Madaya Township Public Hospital for further examination, it is reported.
Likewise, at 03:00 PM, a report stated that the death of a male and the injury of another due to gunfire in Oakpho Village of Paukkhaung Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Thein Myint (53 years old) and his son, Ko Pyae Phyo Aung (28 years old), who both live in this village, were inside in their house when a group of six so-called PDF terrorists arrived on three motorcycles and opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, U Thein Myint was dead from gunshot injuries while Ko Pyae Phyo Aung sustained a bullet penetrating his occiput. He was transported to a Military Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of innocent civilian in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from an extremist ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
