In Mahlaing and Tada-U Townships, so-called PDF terrorists shot and killed an administrative official and innocent civilians

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include monks and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 5 February at 7:00 AM, a report stated that six so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation), arrived on six motorcycles to Myinoohlal Village in Mahaling Township, Mandalay Region. Subsequently, they shot and killed U Maung Zaw (52 years old), the village branch in-charge, his wife, Daw Thin Oo (40 years old), and U Kyaw Zay Ya (45 years old), who all lived in this village. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Maung Zaw was dead from two bullet wounds to his head and neck, Daw Thin Oo had died from four bullet wounds; on her occiput, left eyebrow, left chest and waist, and U Kyaw Zay Ya had died from open head injury and three bullet wounds to his neck and chest. The dead bodies were transported to Mahlaing Township Public Hospital for post-mortem examination and further analysis, it is reported.
Similarly, on 6 February at 1:00 AM, a report stated that so-called PDF terrorists shot and killed two innocent civilians from Paukmyaing Village of Tada-U Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Naing Win (61 years old), who lived in this village, had died from open head injury, and U Mon Kyaw (65 years old), who also lived in this village, had died from a bullet penetrating injury to his occiput. The incident was verified that approximately 10 so-called PDF terrorists arrived by motorboat to Paukmying Village from Sagaing Township, located on the opposite bank of the Irrawaddy River. After entering U Naing Win’s house, U Naing Win was managed to escape. However, the terrorists followed him and shot him; U Naing Win was dead from gunshot injuries on the main road of the village. Additionally, the terrorists entered U Mon Kyaw’s house and opened fire on him. The dead bodies were transported to Tada-U Township Public Hospital for post-mortem examination and further analysis, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative official and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
