In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 25 February at 5:00 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire on a temporary creek bridge located between No.(1) Ward and Mingalaroo Village in Mindon Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. As a result, he was found dead from gunshot wounds on the bridge and was transported to Mindon Township Public Hospital for further examination, it is reported.
Similarly, at 10:30 AM, a report stated that two men were dead by gunfire in Kyitaukpauk Village of Sinku Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that two village elders, responsible for 100-households; U Maung Maung (59 years old) and U Aung San Oo (54 years old) were present in front of the Basic Education High School in the village when four so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles opened fire on them before fleeing.
