In certain townships within States and Regions, armed terrorists are coercing dedicated administrative officials, loyal to their country and fulfilling their duties, to resign from their positions. Operating under the extremist ideology of 'Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy,' these terrorists are resorting to violent attacks and assassinations, employing knives and guns against administrative officials, in an attempt to instill fear within the public.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 November at 09:00 AM, a report indicated that 100—household elder U Myo Naing (51 years old), who lived in Manpon Village of Momauk Township, Kachin State, was having tea at the “Lapyae Wun” tea shop located on the road side of the Bhamo-Momauk road in Kyaynan Ward of Momauk Town, when a so-called PDF terrorist (under scrutiny) entered the tea shop and opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Myo Naing was dead from a bullet penetrating injury through his left parietal bone area to right cheek at the incident. Additionally, U Tun Myint (47 years old), who was working in the tea shop, sustained a bullet penetrating injury on his left instep. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. The injured individual and the deceased body were transported to the Momauk Township Public Hospital for medical treatment and further examination, it is reported.
Likewise, at 10:25 AM, Village Administrator U Soe Wai (58 years old), who lived in Paedet Village of Thayetchaung Township in Tanintharyi Region, was leaving home alone to go to Taguntai Village on his motorcycle along the Dawei-Myeik road. When he arrived near mile post 61/1 of the Dawei-Myeik road, so-called PDF terrorists (total number under scrutiny) opened fire on him. As a result, U Soe Wai was dead from bullet penetrating injuries to his neck, chest, right hand and right waist at the incident, it is reported.
Security personnel are continuing necessary actions to identify and arrest those terrorists who committed wantonly killings and assassinations against administrative officials based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, it is reported.
