In Myingyan Township, a revered Buddhist monk, cherished by the Buddhist people was shot and killed by terrorists

      Terrorist organizations are carrying out acts of sabotage within the country, as well as launching heavy weapons and dropping bombs using drones attacks, targeting and destroying religious buildings and monasteries that are sacred to Buddhist people, while also abducting and brutally killing the Buddhist monks, it is found that heartbreakingly.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 11 July at 03:10 PM, according to the report indicated that a Buddhist monk was shot and killed at the Seiktathukha monastery located in the east of Gwaypinyoe Village in Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. Upon investigation, it is found that the abbot U Pyinnyartharmi (aka) U Myo Thant, 45 years old and 25 years as a monk, (Father) U Aung Maune, who lives in Seiktathukha monastery, was present in the monastery, when five male terrorists (under scrutiny) arrived on four motorcycles and apprehended the abbot. When they arrived at a location approximately 50 feet north of the monastery, the terrorists shot and killed the abbot. As a result, the abbot U Pyinnyartharmi (aka) U Myo Thant was passed away from gunfire injuries, it is reported.
      As a result of these acts of terrorism, 76 Buddhist monks and one nun in the state have passed away, and the security forces are diligently conducting search operations and implementing area lockdowns to apprehend and bring to justice the individuals responsible for the aforementioned incident, it is reported.
