In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 13 February at 9:30 AM, a report stated that a male was dead by gunfire in Kanpyo Village of Natmauk Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that the victim was Township Judge U Tun Tun Naing (36 years old), who lived in Sinpaungwe Town. He had been visiting his parents’ house when six so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation) arrived by three motorcycles and shot him in front of the dwelling. As a result, U Tun Tun Naing was dead from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 3:15 PM, a report stated that a male had been killed by gunfire near Ywarpalal Village of Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Win Ko (53 years old), and U Than Htay (50 years old), who both live in Oakpho Village of Kyaukse Township, had been riding a motorcycle together back from Kyaukse Town to Oakpho Village, when they arrived at the Ywarpalal Village intersection, four male terrorists (under investigation), arrived by two motorcycles and opened fire on them. Additionally, the terrorists robbed their motorcycle before fleeing. As a result, U Win Ko was dead from bullet wounds, it is reported.
Similarly, at 6:30 PM, a report stated that a male was dead by gunfire at a motorcycle repair shop located between Kokkomyaung Village and Pwalthar Village in Nattalin Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Chinkonekan Village Group Administrator U Thein Min Htike (aka) Min Min (43 years old), who lived in Kokkomyaung Village, had been tending to his motorcycle at the shop when three male terrorists (under investigation) arrived by a motorcycle and opened fire on him. As a result, U Thein Min Htike (aka) Min Min was dead from gunshot wound to his forehead, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
