In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 11 January at 6:45 AM, a report stated that so-called PDF terrorists shot and killed U Aung Yin (70 years old), his wife Daw Khin San Yin (63 years old) and their son U Aye Nyein Lin (42 years old), who all lived in Sinphyukone Village of Ngazun Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Aung Yin had succumbed to a laceration on his neck and had his left thumb severed. Daw Khin San Yin was also dead from a stabbing injury, while U Aye Nyein Lin had suffered a fatal injury to the frontal area of his head. The incident was verified that the victims were present in their house when so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation), arrived on three motorcycles. They opened fire, and the victims were subsequently attacked with knives. The deceased individuals were transported by a Social Assistant Association’s vehicle to Ngamyar Circuit Hospital for further examination, it is reported.
Likewise, at 9:30 AM, a report stated that U Kyaw Min (aka) Phoe Phyu (53 years old), who lived in Taungkyar Village of Ywarngan Township, Southern Shan State, was shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Kyaw Min (aka) Phoe Phyu was dead from four gunshot wounds to his back and left/right thigh, two stabbing injuries to his abdomen, and a laceration on his left calf. The incident was verified that on January 10 at 10:30 PM, U Kyaw Min (aka) Phoe Phyu was in his house kitchen with his family when approximately 10 so-called PDF terrorists, arrived. They opened fire, stabbed, and slashed him with knives, accusing him of being a “Decoy (Dalan)”. As a result, he was dead from aforementioned injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
