In Nyaunglebin Township, a collaborative group including KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists blew up the No. (82) 230 KV electricity pylon that connects Shwekyin and Tharyarkone

     It has been found that armed insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out destructive activities such as setting fire to and detonating power sub-stations, electricity towers and electrical transformers, with the aim of cutting off electricity.
     Since they are conducting such destructive acts, on 9 August at 11:45 PM, a collaborative group including KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists carried out an explosion using regional homemade mines at the No. (82) 230 KV electricity pylon that connects Shwekyin and Tharyarkone. This pylon was built in field No. (147-Kha) located approximately one mile north of Natkatawkhin Village of Nyaunglebin Township, Bago Region. As a consequence of the explosions, the two base pillars of No. (82) electricity pylon were damaged (with an estimated value of about MMK 25 lakhs) and there is no power outage, it is reported.
     Responsible officials are now repairing the damaged electricity pylons, and security force members are continue taking necessary measures to take punitive legal actions against the terrorists who blew up the electricity pylon as soonest in accordance with the law, it is reported.
