In Oakpho and Natogyi Townships, administrative official and innocent civilians were shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 28 December at 07:10 AM, a report stated that a male and female were dead by gunfire in Yaetarywarthit Village of Oakpho Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Than Naing (54 years old), a 100-household elder, and his wife Daw Khin Htway Myint (59 years old), who both lived in this village, were present in their house, when a so-called PDF terrorist group (number is under investigation), arrived and opened fire on them. As a result, they were dead from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Likewise, at 10:00 AM, a report stated that a male was found dead with injuries near Tetsi Village of Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Aye Myint Kying (41 years old), who lived in Htantaw Village of Natogyi Township, was present in his house, when a group of 12 terrorists (under investigation), forcibly entered. They apprehended him by tying his hands behind his back with a rope. Subsequently, when the terrorists transported U Aye Myint Kyaing to the roadside along the Pyinsi-Tetsi irrigation ditch boundary road near Tetsi Village, where they stabbed and slashed him with a knife. As a result, U Aye Myint Kying was dead from a laceration on his neck and stab wounds on his left chest, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative official and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
