In Paunde, Salin and Natogyi Townships, administrative officials and innocent civilians were killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 19 February at 11:30 AM, a report stated that a male was killed by gunfire in Nyaungnipin Village of Paunde Township, Bago Region. Security personnel conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that at the time of 06:00 PM on 18 February, U Soe Thein (56 years old), who lived in the village, was headed toward a nearby creek’s bank to trap rats when a terrorist group fired upon him. As a result, U Soe Thein died from gunshot wounds, it is reported.
Similarly, on 20 February at 08:20 AM, Village Administrator U Aung Aung (41 years old), who lived in Thaphancho Village of Salin Township, Magway Region, was present in his chili field when a so-called PDF terrorist group arrived and opened fire on him. As a result, U Aung Aung died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, 20 February at 08:30 AM, a report stated that a man was killed, stabbed and slashed with knives near Myawaddy Village in Natogyi Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Phoe Htaung (aka) Moe Hein Aung (33 years old), who lived in this village, was at home when a so-called PDF terrorist group, arrived in a lead-colored vehicle and on motorcycles, forcibly took him. Subsequently, at the Myawaddy Village intersection, the terrorists stabbed and slashed Ko Phoe Htaung (aka) Moe Hein Aung with knives. As a result, Ko Phoe Htaung (aka) Moe Hein Aung died from cut and stabbed injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
