In Sagaing Township, an innocent civilian was shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists, who accused him of being a “Decoy (Dalan)”

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 11 February at 9:30 AM, U Zar Gyi (50 years old), who lived in Ohmtaw (North) Village of Sagaing Region, was having tea in the “Aungtagon” teashop within the village when five so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation), arrived by two motorcycles and opened fire on him, accusing him of being a “Decoy (Dalan)”. As a result, U Zar Gyi died from two gunshot wounds to his head and chest during the incident, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killing and assassination of an innocent civilian in the abovementioned case. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
