In Sinku Township, Village Administrator U Kyaw Soung of Ngwetaung Village was fatally shot and killed by four so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships of States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a unilateral ideology of extremism 'Anyone opposing my beliefs is an enemy' are instigating fear among the public and carrying out targeted assassinations using guns and knives. They forcefully pressure administrative officials loyal to the State to resign from their duties and resort to violence against those who do not comply.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 14 January at 6:45 PM, a report stated that Village Administrator U Kyaw Soung (66 years old), who lived in Ngwetaung Village of Sinku Township, Mandalay Region, was at home when four so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation), arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on him. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Kyaw Soung had succumbed to a gunshot wound to his head. The deceased was then transported to Sinku Township Public Hospital for further examination, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killing and assassination of an administrative official in the abovementioned case. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
