Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 5 January at 08:30 PM, a report stated that a male was injured by gunfire in Ywarhtaung Ward of Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Yin Min Aung (45 years old), who lives in this Ward, was en route to Ywarhtaung station on his motorcycle. When he reached the level crossing, two so-called PDF terrorist, opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result of the gunfire, U Yin Min Aung sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to Sagaing Township Public Hospital, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for assassination of an innocent civilian in the abovementioned case. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
