In some Townships, administrative officials and innocent civilians were killed by KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 21 February at 1:30 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Chaetawyar Village of Shwegyin Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Myo Kyi (57 years old), the Village Administrator who lived in the village, was in his office when four individuals, identified as KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists, arrived by two motorcycles and opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Myo Kyi died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 2:00 PM, a report stated that a woman was killed, a man and another woman were injured by gunfire at the Kyauktwin Village fork near Aimayoe Village in Mahlaing Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Win Naing (50 years old), the Village Administrator who lived in Htanaungkine Village of Mahlaing Township, was returning in a Honda Fit vehicle (License Plate No. MDY 2G/xxxx) with his elder sister Daw Hnin Si (58 years old) and younger cousin sister Daw Khin Mar Wai (40 years old) from Mahlaing Town to Htanaungkine Village. When the vehicle arrived at the incident site, three so-called PDF terrorists, opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, Daw Hnin Si died from gunshot injuries, while U Win Naing and Daw Khin Mar Wai sustained gunshot wounds. The deceased and injured individuals were transported to Mahlaing Township Public Hospital for further examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
