In some Townships, administrative officials and innocent civilians were killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 January at 12:10 PM, a report stated that a male was dead by gunfire on the Nyaungpin Village and Thinpyoun Village road in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Nay Zaw Aung (29 years old), who lived in Nyaungpin Village, was dead from two bullet penetrating from his check to his back. The incident was verified that in the afternoon on the same day when Ko Nay Zaw Aung was at home with his family. Four so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation), arrived on two motorcycles and demanded to speak with Ko Nay Zaw Aung. After taking him from his house, upon reaching the location, the terrorists opened fire on Ko Nay Zaw Aung. As a result of the gunfire, Ko Nay Zaw Aung was dead from gunshot injuries. The deceased was transported to Myingyan District Public Hospital for further examination, it is reported.
Likewise, at 05:50 PM, two 100-household elders, U Than Min Aung (46 years old), who lived in Maguyoe Village of Kyonpyaw Township, Ayeyarwady Region and U Ngwe Thein (61 years old), who lived in Talinekone Village of the same township, were returning on a motorcycle to their villages after a football match in Zayetseik Village. When they reached the main road in Maguyoe Village, two so-called PDF terrorists (under investigation), riding a motorcycle behind them, opened fire before fleeing. As a result of the gunfire, U Than Min Aung was dead from two bullet penetrating injuries to his right waist and right thigh during the incident while U Ngwe Thein sustained two bullet penetrating injuries to his right waist and left thigh. Unfortunately, U Ngwe Thein was dead from his injuries while being transported to Ah-Htaung Circuit Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
