In some Townships, administrative officials and innocent civilians were killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 January at 10:50 AM, a report stated that a male was dead by gunfire in No. (9) Ward of Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Village Administrator U Htay Aung (50 years old) and his nephew Mg Jay Lin Soe (19 years old), who both live in Myinsee Village of Shwebo Township, were travelling from Myinsee Village to Shwebo Town in a Mark II vehicle. Upon reaching No. (9) Ward, a vehicle belonging to a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number is under investigation) began following behind them. Subsequently, the terrorists opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result of the gunfire, U Htay Aung was dead from a bullet penetrating injury on his forehead, it is reported.
Likewise, at 02:20 PM, a report stated that three males and a female were dead, while a female and a child were injured by gunfire in Myaung Village of Oakpho Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Village Administrator U Kyaw Ko Ko (41 years old), along with his mother-in-law Daw San San Aye (58 years old), his son Mg Moe Thwin Kha (12 years old), younger sister-in-law Ma Ni Lar Win (38 years old), Ko Min Thu Aung (23 years old), and Ko Min Min (20 years old), who all live in this village, were present in U Kyaw Ko Ko’s house. At that time, a group of seven so-called PDF terrorists, arrived on three motorcycles and opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result of the gunfire, U Kyaw Ko Ko, Ma Ni Lar Win, Ko Min Thu Aung and Ko Min Min were dead from gunshot injuries, while Daw San San Aye and Mg Moe Thwin Kha sustained injuries from gunshot and were transported to Oakpho Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
