In some Townships, administrative officials and innocent civilians were killed by terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 19 January at 9:30 AM, a report stated that the discovery of a deceased male with injuries, located approximately 10 feet east of the railway track southeast of Nandar Village in Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that the deceased to be an approximately 35-year-old man (under investigation) who had suffered an open head injury, with his face covered by a piece of white cloth. The deceased was transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for further examination, it is reported.
Likewise, at 3:40 PM, a report stated that a male was dead by gunfire near the Basic Education High School in Moatpalin Village of Kyaikto Township, Mon State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Tin Aye (75 years old), who lived in this Village, was waiting for his grandson in front of the school. At that moment, a KNU member, who supports terrorism, along with a so-called PDF terrorist, arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire on him before fleeing the scene. As a result, U Tin Aye was dead from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Likewise, at 6:10 PM, a report stated that a male was dead and another injured by gunfire in front of No. (7) Basic Education Middle School in No. (13) Ward of Hlaing Township, Yangon Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ward Administrator U Kyin Phaunt (73 years old) and a 100-household elder, U Than Myint (70 years old), who both live in this Ward, were returning to their homes on bicycles. As they reached in front of the school, a male terrorist (under investigation) who was walking, opened fire on them before fleeing the scene. As a result, U Than Myint was dead from gunshot injuries while U Kyin Phaunt sustained injuries. He was transported to a 1000-bedded, Military Hospital, No-1 Mingalardon Township for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security forces are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
