In some townships of States and Regions, armed terrorists, based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, are committing violent attacks and assassinations by using knives, guns, grenades, home-made mines and IEDs against administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts after accusing them of “Spy/ Informer/ Decoy (Dalan)” to make civilians who live peacefully, very frightened.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 August at 09:45 AM, according to the report that a male was dead by gunfire on a ditch boundary road located between Zeekone Village and Kanparni Village in Taungoo Township, Bago Region, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. Upon inspection, it is found that U Thein Tun, 42 years old (Father) U Phoe Htaung, who lived in Kanparni Village, was leaving home to go to Zeekone Village. When he arrived on the ditch boundary road, a terrorist group (under scrutiny) opened fire on him. As a result, U Tin Win was dead from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 10:10 AM, according to the report that a male was dead by gunfire on a dirt road that leads from the Taungtha-Natogyi road to Zayetgyi Village in Taungtha Township, Mandalay Region, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. Upon inspection, it is found that U Kyaw Lwin, 48 years old (Father) U Mar Sein, who lived in Zayetgyi Village, was travelling alone on a three-wheel motorcycle from Taungtha Town to Zayetgyi Village. When he arrived on the dirt road, four male terrorists (under scrutiny) riding on a motorcycle in the same direction behind him, opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Kyaw Lwin was dead from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Likewise, at 04:30 PM, according to the report that a male was dead by gunfire on the boundary of Paunglaung dam located approximately two furlongs east of a monastery between Ayegyi (lower) Village and Ayegyi (upper) Village in Yaedashe Township, Bago Region, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. Upon inspection, it is found that U Hla Myint, 58 years old (Father) U Thaung Kyi, who lived in Innyar Village of Yaeni Town, was present in his house when a group of approximately six terrorists (under scrutiny) arrived on two motorcycles and arrested him. Later, when they reached on the boundary of Paunglaun dam, the terrorists opened fire on U Hla Myint. As a result, U Hla Myint was dead from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Furthermore, at 04:40 PM, U Myo Zaw Lat, 37 years old (Father) U Hla Thaung, who lived in Myakhapat Village of Lounglon Township, Tanintharyi Region, was in a billiard station located next to the Lounglon-Dawei Road near Innzout Village, when approximately a group of 20 terrorists opened fire on him. As a result, U Myo Zaw Lat was dead from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
On the same day at 08:10 PM, according to the report that a male was found dead with injuries near the Town entrance signboard on the Ayartaw-Monywa Road located in Kanbawza (1) Ward of Ayartaw Township, Sagaing Region, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. Upon inspection, it is found that an approximately 35-year-old man (under scrutiny) was found dead with gunshot and knife injuries by tying his hand with plastic rope at the incident, and his body was transported to the Ayartaw Township Public hospital for further examination, it is reported.
Security Force Members are continuing necessary actions to identify and arrest those terrorists who committed wantonly killings and assassinations against administrative officials and innocent civilians who live peacefully in the abovementioned cases based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, it is reported.
