Terrorist groups, acting as political extremists, have been engaging in sabotage activities aimed at disrupting essential services. Their tactics include cutting off electricity and telephone lines, damaging electricity towers, burning and destroying electricity substations, and targeting telecommunication towers. These groups have been found to execute sabotage activities such as detonating mines.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 2 December at 00:30 AM, KNU members who support terrorism and a so-called PDF terrorists, detonated the No. (46) 230 KV electrical pylon connecting Tharyarkone to Biedar. The pylon was installed in a field near Shwebonepwint Pagoda in Sonekone Village of Nyaunglaybin Township, Bago Region. The explosion caused the collapse and breakage of four basement poles, it is reported.
Likewise, on 2 December at 04:00 AM, a terrorists (under scrutiny) detonated the MYTEL communication tower No. MDY-0368 (BTS type), located approximately 200 meters north of Ywarthit Village of Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region. The explosion resulted in the destruction and burning of a 13 KV power generator, a 13 KV fuel tank, 10 48 V batteries, a line transmitter, 10 solar panels measuring approximately nine feet in length and three feet in width, a battery cabinet aircon and the tower’s wires, it is reported.
Security personnel are continue taking necessary measures to take punitive legal actions against the terrorists who blew up an electrical pylon and a MYTEL communication tower as soonest in accordance with the law, it is reported.
