In some townships of States and Regions, armed terrorists, based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, are committing violent attacks and assassinations by using knives, guns against administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts after accusing them of “Spy/ Informer/ Decoy (Dalan)” to make civilians who live peacefully, very frightened.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, On 16 October, at 03:30 PM, U Zaw Min (50 years old), who lived in Thayetkaungpin Village of Mahaling Township, Mandalay Region, was returning from his sugarcane farm located north of Thamannkan Village to Thayetkaungpin Village. He was driving his Light Truck vehicle along with U Phoe Hla (40 years old), who also lives in this Village. When they reached a location approximately three furlongs north of Thamannkan Village, a so-called PDF terrorists (total number-under scrutiny) forced to stop their vehicle and opened fire on U Zaw Min. As a result, U Zaw Min was dead from two bullet penetrating injuries; one to his neck and another to his near right ear at the incident. Fortunately, U Phoe Hla was released along with the vehicle. Security personnel investigated the incident and transported the deceased body of U Zaw Min to the Mahlaing Township Public Hospital for further examination, it is reported.
Similarly, at 04:30 PM, according to the report, U Maung Maung Sein (53 years old), who lived in Yaenanthar Village of Madaya Township, was sitting alone at the “Hein Star” tea shop located near Seltaw Village, when two so-called PDF terrorists (under scrutiny) arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Maung Maung Sein sustained a bullet penetrating injury through his right cheek to left cheek and another bullet penetrating injury through his right temple to nose. Security personnel arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it was found that, U Maung Maung Sein was found with above mentioned injuries. He was transferred from the Madaya Township Public Hospital to the Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Likewise, at 08:00 PM, 100-household elder U Myint Soe (66 years old), who lived in Hlaingtharyar Village of Taungoo Township, Bago Region, was present in his house, when three so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles on the road in front of his house, coming from Padaukkone Village. They call out to him, and when U Myint Soe was outside of his house to inspect, the terrorists opened fire on him by accusing him of being an “Informer”. As a result, U Myint Soe was dead from a bullet penetrating injury to his chest at the incident, it is reported.
Security personnel are continuing necessary actions to identify and arrest those terrorists who committed wantonly killings and assassinations against administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, it is reported.
