In some townships of States and Regions, armed terrorists, based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, are committing violent attacks and assassinations against innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts, using guns and knives, after accusing them of “Spy/ Informer/ Decoy (Dalan)” to make civilians who live peacefully, very frightened.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 16 December at 01:50 PM, a report stated that a male was dead by gunfire in Ngapyininn Village of Sinku Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was found that Village Administrator U Kyaw Win Naing (53 years old), who lived in this village, was returning alone on his motorcycle from Sinku Town to Ngapyininn Village. When he arrived between Tharyarkone Village and Ngapyininn Village, four male terrorists (under scrutiny), who were riding two motorcycles behind him, opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Kyaw Win Naing was dead from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 02:30 PM, a report stated that a male was dead by gunfire near the entrance singboard of Thityone Village in Myingyan Township. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the inspection, it was found that U Kyaw Thu (40 years old), who lived in Kyaukkan Village of Myingyan Township, was leaving home on his motorcycle to Myingyan Town for shopping along the Myingyan-Myothar road. When he arrived near the Thityone Village signboard located at mile post 467/4, a terrorist group (under scrutiny) opened fire on him. Additionally, the terrorists robbed his Scoopyi motorcycle before fleeing. As a result, U Kyaw Thu was dead from a gunshot injury, it is reported.
Security personnel are continuing necessary actions to identify and arrest those terrorists who committed wantonly killings and assassinations against Administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, it is reported.
