In some townships of States and Regions, armed terrorists, based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, are committing violent attacks and assassinations by using knives, guns against administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts after accusing them of “Spy/ Informer/ Decoy (Dalan)” to make civilians who live peacefully, very frightened.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 October at 04:00 PM, a SHN-12 1N/XXXX LANDCRUISER vehicle, driven by U Eike Si (48 years old), who lives in Sansai (Khakhway) Ward in Tachileik Township, was accompanied by U Kyalar (49 years old), who lives in No. (4) Ward of Kyainge Tong Town, Eastern Shan State. They were travelling from Wanekyaung Ward to Tachileik Town, when a terrorist (under scrutiny), who was following in a FORTUNER vehicle (license plate under scrutiny) behind them, opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, U Kyalar sustained two bullet penetrating injuries; one to his head and another to his back. He is currently receiving medical care, it is reported.
Security personnel are continuing necessary actions to identify and arrest those terrorists who committed gunfire on an innocent civilian in the abovementioned case, it is reported.
