The national government is opening basic education schools on 1 June to ensure the full utilization of the right to education in order to prevent the education of the future generations from being left behind. With the aims to create an uneducated society following the loss of children’s rights to education as well as to intimidate students, teachers and parents, the NUG and its affiliated political extremist terrorists are resorting to threats of violence by distributing threatening letters and opposing the reopening of schools with nefarious intentions, it is found that.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 9 June at 11:40 AM, according to the report indicated that a threat letter was found beside the road near the entrance of the Basic Education Post Primary School of Chaungsone (North) Village in Tatkon Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, security personnel went to the school to inspect. According to the investigation, two A-4 papers upon which a message had been written using a blue-colored soft pen were found and cleared it. Currently, seven teachers had been teaching 97 students in this school, it is reported.
Security personnel are doing required investigations to find and apprehend those political extremist terrorists involved in the above incident with the aims to oppose schools opening as well as to intimidate students, teachers and parents, and to take legal action against them.
