In Taungdwingyi Township, an administrative official and an innocent civilian were killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 20 February at 4:40 PM, a report stated that a man was killed and another was injured by gunfire on the bullock cart road connecting Thalphyu Village and Chinthapyaypin Village in Taungdwingyi Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Nan Win (41 years old), the in- charge of the Village Branch and U Lin Lin Sein (41 years old) who both live in Chaing Village of Taungdwingyi Township, were returning on a motorcycle from Kathar Village to Chaing Village. Upon reaching the incident site, they were ambushed by three so-called PDF terrorists who opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, U Nan Win died from gunshot injuries, while U Lin Lin Sein sustained gunshot wounds. The dead body and injured individual were transported to Taungdwingyi Township Public Hospital for further examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative official and innocent civilian in the abovementioned case. These acts stem from a radicalized ideology that deems anyone holding differing views as an enemy, it is reported.
