In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 July at 10:20 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group dropped bombs using a drone on Kyoneaeik Bridge in Thaton Township, Mon State. During the attack, the bombs landed and exploded on the Road near the Bridge. As a result of the explosions, Mg Nay Tun Aung, 16 years old (Father) U Maung Sein Win, and his mother Daw Pan War, 53 years old (Father) U Aung Khin, who both live in Dabatswel Village and who were leaving on a sidecar vehicle from Kyaikkaw Town in Thaton Township to Dabatswel Village in Bilin Township along the Road, sustained injures from bomb shrapnel. They were transported to the Bilin Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Likewise, at 11:55 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) opened fire an improvised mortar towards Khuntaunggyi Village of Shwebo Township in Sagaing Region, from an irrigation ditch boundary located east of the Village. A projectile from the improvised mortar landed and exploded in a field near the Village. As a result of the explosion, U Hla Maw, 40 years old (Father) U Ohn, who lives in No (5) Ward of Shwebo Township and who was working in the field at the time of explosion, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. He was transported to the Shwebo Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly attacked with a heavy weapon and drop bombs using a drone, causing injuries to innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
