In Ye, Hpakant and Lounglon Townships, armed terrorists wantonly kill innocent civilians who live peacefully

      In some townships of States and Regions, armed terrorists, based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, are committing violent attacks and assassinations by using knives, guns, grenades, home-made mines and IEDs against non-CDM staff after forcibly pressuring civil service personnel who are loyal to the State to join CDM as well as others who do not support their terrorist acts after accusing them of “Spy/ Informer/ Decoy (Dalan)” to make administrative officials, government employees and civilians who live peacefully, very frightened.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 26 June at 12:30 PM, according to the report that a man was dead while a woman was injured by gunfire at the cemetery of Myohaungkone Village in Ye Township, Mon State, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. The investigation found that 100-hosuehold Administrator U Soe Aung, 64 years old (Father) U Kyaw Nyunt, who lived in this village, was leaving to funeral procession vehicles which were parked at the entrance of the cemetery to return home after participating in a funeral procession, when an insurgent group supporting terrorism and four so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Soe Aung was dead from gunshot injuries. Furthermore, Daw Zin Mar Nwe, 30 years old (Father) U Yi Win, who lives in Asin Village and who happened to be present near the incident, sustained gunshot injuries, and was transported to the Ye District Public hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
      Similarly, at 04:00 PM, according to the report that a man was dead by gunfire near the roadside close to the Shwepyaesone pagoda in (1) Ward of Hpakant Township, Kachin State, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. The investigation found that 100-hosuehold Administrator U Soe Win, 51 years old (Father) U Aung Phoe, who lived in Nantparhote Village, was found dead with gunshot injuries by tying his hands at his back in a white 6I/xxxx AD Van vehicle parked at the roadside. His body was transported to the Hpakant Township Public hospital for further examination, it is reported.
      Likewise, on 27 June at 08:10 AM, according to the report that a man was dead by gunfire at the taxi gate located at the Thaukkyarpyin Village junction Road in Lounglon Township, Tanintharyi Region, security personnel went to the scene to inspect. The investigation found that U Kyaw Myo Htike, 26 years old (Father) U Nyan Lin, who lived in Waekyunmyothit Ward of Dawei Township, was present at the taxi gate, when four so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles. They assaulted him and opened fire before fleeing. As a result, U Kyaw Myo Htike was dead from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
      Security Force Members are continuing necessary actions to identify and arrest those terrorists who committed wantonly killings and assassinations against administrative officials, government employees and civilians who live peacefully in the abovementioned cases based on the one-sided ideology of extremism ‘Everyone who differs from my attitude is my enemy’, it is reported.
