Innocent Civilian Injured in Terrorist Attack Involving Heavy and Small Arms in Thandaunggyi Township of Kayin State

     Terrorists committing inhumane acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 13 May 2025, at 10:30 AM, Mg Aung Nay Lin (aka) Michael, a resident of Lat Phat Inn Gyi Village in Late Tho Town, Thandaunggyi Township of Kayin State, was at a church located on a hill near his village. At the time, terrorists fired both heavy and small arms in the vicinity of the church. As a result, he sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to Late Tho Station Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.

    Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent people have been injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
