Terrorists committing inhumane acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 20 May 2025 at 7:45 AM, a report stated that the body of a man with shrapnel injuries was brought to the Waingmaw Township Public Hospital of Kachin State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they identified the victim as U Paung Yint (65 years old), a resident of Naung Si Paw Village. The incident occurred on 19 May 2025 at 11:30 AM, when a group of KIA insurgents, along with so-called PDF terrorists, fired heavy weapons into Naung Pa Kat Village in Waingmaw Township. One of the shells exploded near the village cemetery. As a result, U Paung Yint who was at the incident at the time, died on the spot, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent people have been killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
