Innocent Civilian Killed in Improvised Mortar Attack on Village by terrorists

    Insurgents committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns and villages.
    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 17 September, 2024 at 7:00 AM, the so-called PDF terrorists fired improvised mortars at Chaung Ku Village in Pauk Township of Magway Region. The improvised mortar shells exploded within the village, resulting in the death of Village Administrator U Zaw Ko Lat (33 years old), a resident of the village, who died on the spot, it is reported.
     Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are killed and injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
