In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 August at 01:45 PM, so-called PDF terrorists recklessly attacked with six drop bombs using three drones onto Inpin Village of Pakokku Township, Magway Region. The attack was initiated from Magyikan Village, located northwest of Inpin Village. One of the bombs detonated upon landing on the asphalt road within the Village, while the other drop bombs exploded in fields located outside of the Village. As a result of the explosions, Daw Main, 45 years old, Daw Thaw, 52 years old, Ma Thu Thu Aung, 16 years old and Mg Nyein Chan Aung, 13 years old, who all live in this Village and happened to be on the asphalt road at the time of the explosions, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel, it is reported.
Security personnels are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly dropped bombs using drones towards a Village, resulting in injuries to innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
