Innocent Civilian Sustains Gunshot Wounds by So-Called KNDF/PDF Terrorists in Pinlaung Township of Southern Shan State

      In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 24 May 2025 at 7:00 AM, a report stated that a man was injured by gunfire near Saung Pyaung Myauk Village in Pinlaung Township of Southern Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that the victim was identified as U Ta Lwun (56 years old), a resident of Kaun Var Village. The incident occurred while he was walking from Saung Pyaung Village to Hti Ve Village along a jungle path. Upon reaching an area east of Saung Pyaung Village, a so-called KNDF/PDF terrorist group opened fire on him. As a result, he sustained gunshot wounds, it is reported.
      Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
