Armed insurgents, who support terrorism alongside so-called PDF terrorists, have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets, and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards, and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 16 July, 2024 at 8:20 AM, so-called PDF terrorists fired improvised rockets into No. (2) Ward in Madaya Township of Mandalay Region. The improvised rocket shells exploded on the house of Daw Tin Nwet Yi, a resident of the ward, causing significant damage to the house. As a result of these explosions, Daw Khine Shwe Win (39 years old), Daw Hnin Sandar Aye (35 years old) and Ma Khun Thadar Hein (three years old) who were all in the house at the time, died on the spot. Additionally, U Myo Zaw Hein (39 years old) and Ma Thun Thaw Dar Hein (eight years old) who were also in the house at the time, sustained shrapnel injuries. They are currently receiving medical treatment at the “Chit Oo Mon” private clinic in Madaya Town, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed insurgents and terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians including children are killed and injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
