Innocent Civilians, including Monks Killed and Injured in Heavy Weapon and Drone Bomb Attacks on Ward and Village by Insurgents Supporting Terrorism and So-called PDF Terrorists

     Insurgents who support terrorism along with so-called PDF terrorists have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 3 September, 2024 at 2:50 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired heavy weapons into Lay Nyar Ward, Pyi Gyi Mandaing Town, Bokepyin Township of Tanintharyi Region. One of the heavy weapon shells exploded within the ward. As a result, Ko Hein Myat Toe (17 years old), a resident of the ward, died on the spot, while U Nyi Nyi Win (45 years old) and Ko Bo Zaw Han (25 years old), both also residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries. The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment at a clinic in the ward, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 3:30 PM, a group of KNU members who support terrorism, along with so-called PDF terrorists conducted a drone attack  dropping bombs on Auk Khone Village, Phyu Township of Bago Region. One of the bombs exploded within the village, resulting in the immediate death of Daw Mya Than (45 years old), a resident of the village. Mg Phoe La Pyae (seven years old), Ma Yadanar Oo (eight years old) and U Aye (50 years old), all residents of the village, sustained shrapnel injuries. All injured individuals were transported to Phyu Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:45 PM, a report stated that four novices and a man with shrapnel injuries had arrived at Pyin Oo Lwin Township Public Hospital in Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered that the victims were novice Shin Khan Tet Thar Ya (15 years old) (two years in monkhood), novice Shin Par Wi Tha (16 years old) (two years in monkhood), novice Shin Whar Yar Deik Da (15 years old) (two years in monkhood), novice Shin Wi Thar Ya (17 years old)  (three years in monkhood) and U Thar Hla (40 years old), a lay attendant at the monastery. All were from Inn Pho Monastery in Inn Pho Village, Nyaungcho Township, Northern Shan State. The incident occurred at 12:00 PM on the same day, when a heavy weapon shell fired by a terrorist group exploded within the monastery, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
     Due to the heinous acts of armed insurgents and terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
