Innocent Civilians Injured, Houses and Monastery Damaged in Heavy Weapons and Drone-dropped Bombs Attacks by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In respective States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 21 May, 2024 at 9:05 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group used a drone to drop bombs on Kan Ni Village, Myaing Township, Magway Region. The bombs exploded within the village, damaging the village monastery and six houses. Additionally, Daw Mya Aye (71 years old), a resident of the village, sustained injuries from the shrapnel and is currently receiving medical treatment at the village clinic, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:15 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired a heavy weapon at Ngwe Taung Village, Sinku Township, Mandalay Region. The shell exploded within the compound of the village monastery. Consequently, U San Moe (39 years old), Ko Aung Chit Min (18 years old), and U Aung Kyaw Soe (42 years old), all residents of the village who were cleaning within the compound, sustained injuries from the shrapnel and were transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Security personnel are conducting further investigations to take punitive action against the perpetrators of terrorists who conducted the heavy weapons and drone-dropped bombs attacks that caused injuries and damage to innocent civilians and their porperty, and also taking security measures to restore stability and peace in the area, it is reported.
