Innocent Civilians Injured in Drone-dropped Bombs Attacks by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In respective States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 23 May, 2024 at 11:55 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist used a drone to drop bombs on Aout Tal Su Village, Kyauktaga Township, Bago Region. One bomb exploded on the village entrance road. As a result, U Kyaw Soe (66 years), a resident of the village, sustained injuries from the shrapnel and was transported to Palnwekone Circuit Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 2:00 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist used a drone to drop bombs on Pan Yan Village, Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region. The bombs exploded within the village. As a result, Daw Toat (60 years), Ma Thiri May (15 years), and Mg Phoe Thit (six years), all residents of the village, sustained injuries from the shrapnel and were transported to Shwebo District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Security personnel are conducting further investigations to take punitive action against the perpetrators of terrorists who conducted the drone-dropped bombs attacks that caused injuries among innocent civilians, and also taking security measures to restore stability and peace in the area, it is reported.
