Terrorists committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 4 December 2024 at 11:30 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group conducted a drone attack by dropping bombs on Kwun Ohm Village in Natogyi Township of Mandalay Region. The explosions occurred within the village resulting in the destruction of three houses. Four residents sustained shrapnel injuries: U Thaung Min Soe (42 years old), U Aung Win (53 years old), U Than Zaw Tun (41 years old) and his wife, Daw May Win Maung (39 years old). All the injured were transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 12:30 PM, on the same day, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired heavy weapons into Lone Taw Village in Natogyi Township. One of the heavy weapon shells exploded within the compound of a monastery in the village. As a result, the following individuals sustained shrapnel injuries: a monk named Ar Dein Sa (47 years old) and 27 years in monkhood, a junior novice named Shin Vi Ma La (eight years old), U Kyaw Thet Oo (42 years old) a resident of Tha Man Taw Village, U Kan Myint (40 years old), his wife, Daw Lone Khine (42 years old) and their daughter, Ma Shwe Sin Tun (three years old), all residents of Lay Ywar Sone Village. All injured individuals were transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Likewise, at 12:30 PM, on the same day, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired heavy weapons into Kan Hnaung Village and Tha Man Taw Village in Natogyi Township. One of the shells exploded near a public rest-house on the outskirts of Kan Hnaung Village. As a result, U Win Oo (58 years old) a resident of Kan Hnaung Village who was near the site of the explosion, sustained shrapnel injuries. He was transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
