Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon and Drone Bomb Attacks on Village by terrorists

Insurgents committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 5 November, 2024 at 6:35 PM, a group of KNU members who support terrorism, along with so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapon into Mya Yadanar Ward in Thein Zayat Town, Kyaikto Township of Mon State. The heavy weapon shell exploded within the ward. As a result, Daw Khin Myint (70 years old) and her granddaughter, Ma Lae Lae San (17 years old), both residents of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Thein Zayat Station Hospital in Kyaikto Township for medical treatment, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are killed and injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
