Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack on Ward by Terrorist Insurgents

    Terrorist insurgents have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 29 July, 2024 at 11:15 AM, security personnel received a report stating that a child and a woman with shrapnel had arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Pyinoolwin Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were Mg Zin Wyne (six years old) and Daw Khin Wai Yu (51 years old), both residents of Sa Ma Sel Village in Nyaungkhio Township of Northern Shan State. The incident occurred on July 28 at 4:00 PM, when a heavy weapon shell fired by a terrorist group exploded within the victims’ village, resulting in their injuries, it is reported. 
    Due to the heinous acts of armed insurgents and terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
