Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Mortar Attack on Village by terrorists

Terrorists committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 10 November, 2024 at 9:40 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired improvised mortar rounds into No.5 Ward in Palaw Township of Tanintharyi Region. One of the mortars exploded within the ward, injuring Daw Wai Wai Phyo (31 years old) and Mg Aung Pyae Sone (6 years old), both residents of the ward. They sustained shrapnel injuries and were transported to Palaw Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civillians peacefully reside, innocent civillians are killed and injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
