Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Rocket Attack on Village by Insurgent Committing Terrorists Activities

    Insurgents committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on August 9, 2024 at 3:25 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired improvised rockets into No. (1) Ward in Gangaw Township of Magway Region. One of the improvised rocket shells exploded at the house of U Htay Zaw Moe, a resident of the ward. As a result of the explosion, Ko Ye Yint Kyaw (aka) Thar Nge (31 years old), Mg Nan Thaw Khant (17 years old), Mg Swan Thaw Khant (15 years old), Mg Hlaing Min Zaw (17 years old), Mg Ye Min Myat (14 years old) and Mg Aung Myo Min (16 years old), all residents of Myauk Kone Ward, who were at the house at the time, sustained shrapnel injuries. They were transported to a Local Military Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported. 
    Due to the heinous acts of armed insurgents and terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
