Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Rocket Attack on Village by Terrorist Insurgents

    Terrorist insurgents have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 26 July, 2024 at 11:00 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired improvised rockets at Ku Shae Ywar Ma Village in Seikphyu Township of Magway Region. One of these improvised rocket shells exploded within the village, causing shrapnel injuries to several individuals: U Kyaw Lwin Oo (52 years old), U Han Myint Win (33 years old), U Thein Than Hein (27 years old), U Kyaw Min Oo (32 years old), U Thint Lwin (49 years old), U Soe Min Tun (45 years old) and Daw Ohn Shin (78 years old) all residents of the village. They were transported to Seikphyu Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
    Due to the heinous acts of armed insurgents and terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians including children are killed and injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
