Innocent Civilians Injured, Two Houses Destroyed in Heavy Weapon and Improvised Rocket Attack on Ward and Village by Insurgents Committing Terrorists Activities

      Insurgents committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 2 September, 2024 at 11:40 AM, a report stated that a boy and a woman with shrapnel injuries had arrived at Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the Hospital for further investigation, they discovered that the victims were Daw San Shwe (55 years old) and her nephew, Mg Thu Rein Moe Zet (9 years old) both residents of Myin Chan Kone Village in Kyaukpadaung Township. The incident occurred on 1 September, 2024 at 5:30 PM, when a so-called PDF terrorist group fired heavy weapons into the victim’s village. One of the heavy weapon shells exploded within the village, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, on 3 September, 2024 at 4:05 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired improvised rockets into Nyaung Kwal Ward, Aungmyaetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. One of the improvised rocket shells exploded within the ward. As a result, U Ko Ko Naing (30 years old) a resident of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries and was transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:00 AM on the same day, two improvised rocket shells fired by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded within Amara Htar Ni (West) Ward in Aungmyaetharzan Township. As a result of these explosions, two houses in the ward were destroyed, it is reported.
    Due to the heinous acts of armed insurgents and terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
