Armed insurgents, who support terrorism alongside so-called PDF terrorists, have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 9 July, 2024 at 12:00 PM, a report stated that deceased and injured individuals had arrived at the Township Public Hospital in Mogok Township, Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that on 8 July, at 10:00 PM, insurgent terrorists launched improvised rockets into Yepu Ward in Mogok Town. The improvised rocket shells exploded within the ward, resulting in the immediate deaths of Ko Naing (31 years old) and his son (20 days old), both residents of the ward. Additionally, Ko Hla Win (21 years old), Ma Chit Su (31 years old), Ma Khin Thet Paing (21 years old) and Ma Htike Htike Shine (26 years old), all residents of the ward, sustained injuries from the shrapnel, it is reported.
Similarly, on 9 july at 7:55 PM, a report stated that injured individuals had arrived at Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that around 1:00 PM on the same day, insurgent terrorists fired heavy weapons into Oak Pho Lay Ywar Thit Village in Madaya Township. The heavy weapon shells exploded within the village. As a result of these explosions, U Zaw Lwin (48 years old), his wife Daw Sanda Win (38 years old) and their daughter Ma Pyae Phu Lwin (14 years old), all residents of the village, sustained injuries from the shrapnel, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed insurgents and terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are killed and injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
